Biographic
profile for Bruce Donnelly - who
handles US ad sales
for fDi - in print and online - and can help US advertisers to
develop integrated marketing campaigns. |
|
Paul Wright has worked in the world of Foreign Direct
Investment for over sixteen years. He is currently Global Director, Sales
and Marketing for Oxford Intelligence Ltd, a position that he has held since
March 2006.
His career in FDI has been predominantly with the Welsh
Development Agency (WDA). He started his career with the WDA as Country
Manager Italy, here he opened up the WDA’s office in Milan in 1995. Italy
quickly became the WDA’s leading European market for the generation of new
inward investment projects into Wales – in the late 1990’s Wales was
capturing between 60% and 100% of all UK bound Italian investment. Paul
personally sourced and negotiated these investments.
In 1998 he was promoted to the position of European Director
for the WDA – with responsibility for all of the WDA’s lead generation and
FDI marketing strategy throughout Europe together with its overseas sales
force. The main areas of activity were France, Germany, Nordics, Benelux and
Italy.
In 2001 he was again promoted to the position of Executive
Vice President Europe and North America. His overall areas of responsibility
increased and he became responsible for the marketing implementation,
strategy of the WDA’s FDI activities throughout North America and Europe.
Within three years the overall brand image of the WDA improved significantly
within North America. Throughout this period the WDA was consistently one of
Europe’s best performing development agencies.
In March 2006 Paul joined Oxford Intelligence Ltd as Global
Sales and Marketing Director. Based in the Netherlands, he now has overall
responsibility for the delivery of OI’s range of consultancy products and
services. OI’s client base is mainly the leading economic development
agencies in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, UK and many states in North
America and Canada. Its products and services are centred on Foreign Direct
Investment, focusing on cross border activities of companies moving
internationally. |
